Miss London Concierge turned 3 years old!

And boy did we celebrate!

Celebrating a career in events

In 2018, Director and Founder, Emily Morbey set up the wonderful Miss London Concierge. After 12 years of working in some of London’s most popular venues as a Sales and Events Manager, Emily joined SquareMeal Venues & Events. During her many years experience in the London events industry, Emily has had the pleasure to know a lot of people along the way and is able to help many companies find their perfect venue for their event.

What’s a birthday without a party?

Miss London Concierge not only celebrated our 3rd birthday, but also the beginning of a nice long weekend with our online event on the 1st April.

The Build-up

The excitement was bubbling as the date neared and we were looking forward to a virtual evening, put together by entertainment professionals, Maverick Live. Creative events and media production are Maverick Live’s star point and, with two studios here in the UK, they delivered a fun, entertainment filled evening for Miss London Concierge, our clients and our partners. Maverick Live’s clientele include the NHS, Unilever and ITV and they have been delivering successful virtual/hybrid events such as Team Building, Virtual Exhibitions and Social Events on technologically exciting platforms that are aimed to bring the whole company together.

Your host... Simon Howard

The evening kicked off with a big welcome from Simon who is one of Maverick Live’s main hosts and compares. He has an engaging and friendly tone with the real gift-of-the-gab and we can see why he has hosted many big corporate events. Throughout the evening, Simon was in charge of introducing the acts scheduled for the party, catching up with all the guests on the chat and giving away Miss London Concierge’s fabulous birthday bash prizes!

These great giveaways were….

Magician Andrew Green

We were stunned by magician Andrew Green who came on to our screens for the first instalment of entertainment. As part of the magic circle, he wowed the viewers with his audition piece for the group and the chat went wild in pure disbelief. Andrew did a range of tricks from a warm-up physical trick that everyone could take part in, as well as a card trick, disappearing magic balls and finishing by revealing a secret to one of his manoeuvres. Much loved by all at the event, Andrew emitted a charisma that was completely engaging and encouraged a lot of reactions from the guests including ‘No Way’ and ‘No he didn’t’. Needless to say, we were all impressed.

If you want to book Andrew for your next virtual or live event, he comes very recommended.

Singer/Instrumentalist Dan Roberts

We were then treated by a truly wonderful performance from The Drive headman and vocalist, Dan Roberts who performed a range of acoustic songs. Many attending the event commented on his incredible voice and talent as he gave wonderful renditions of songs that gave everyone a deep nostalgia.

The band took over to give us some truly brilliant renditions of rock and pop/rock covers which had everyone wishing for the days to visit live music venues to return. The Arctic Monkeys, Blink 182, The White Stripes and 90s band The Kooks were brought to life with the band’s much-loved cover of Naive. The band performed in the Maverick Live studio which was filmed so well, it made every feel like they were part of a real live music event. We all felt extremely grateful to be treated to such an outstanding, private performance just for Miss London Concierge and guests.

From pubs, private parties and corporate events, The Drive are a group of faithful professionals.

The Glamorous ms morbey

Miss London Concierge’s Emily Morbey, who single-handedly started the venue finding agency, spoke to the guests. She came onto the screen looking quite simply fabulous in a silver, sparkly dress, banging blonde hair, her signature red lips and with a stack of third birthday balloons serving as the background for her appearance. She thanked everyone from the bottom of her heart and said “We wouldn’t have been able to keep going without you (the clients and partners) this year. We just wanted to celebrate in any way we can. Virtual is staying a little bit longer, even though we are looking forward to live events, but virtual, as we have seen tonight, can be so much fun and so engaging. Thank you again to everybody for coming tonight and supporting us. Here’s to three more years and the rest!” As she raised a glass of champagne to all Miss London Concierge’s clients, suppliers, partners and providers.

The chat went wild with Ms Morbey receiving comments such as “That outfit!!” And “Ohhh Emily you look amazing… Loving the sequins!” And “Wowwww so glam!”. Earlier on in the evening the chat took to persuading Emily to give a karaoke rendition during her time on the screen. Although she sadly declined, guests were not disappointed with her motivational and heartfelt message.

Seen off in style

The band played us out with another 20 minute set that was just as fun and lively as their first. After the event, many guests shared their views from home on social media which included people getting their whole families involved dancing around and others having the event projected on big screens at home.

So the feedback was impressive and everyone truly had a fantastic time thanks to Simon, Andrew, The Drive and, of course, the glue that held it all together, Maverick Live.

We are very much looking forward to another year at Miss London Concierge

and can’t wait to get all our clients’ needs met whether that be virtual or in-person

as life slowly returns to normal…
